Backup & Recovery
Virtual Disaster Recovery (VDR)
VDR is set up for your key servers and systems — so if disaster strikes, we can spin up a working copy of your environment and rebuild the systems your business depends on.
How it works
From live server to rapid recovery
1. Image created
An “image” of your server or computer is made — a complete point-in-time copy.
2. Backed up offsite
That image is backed up securely to the data centre.
3. Downloaded to Recovery Server
It’s downloaded to a Recovery Server, ready to go.
4. Spin up on demand
If disaster strikes, we spin up a copy of the environment from that image.
The result: VDR helps us rebuild a key system in the event of failure — minimising downtime and keeping your business running.
