Our AI projects

At Warringah IT we don’t just advise clients on AI — we use it ourselves. These are real projects we’ve built and run in our own business, using the same Microsoft tools most of our clients already have access to. We’re sharing them here to give you a practical sense of what’s possible.

Automation & Integration

1. Email automation with Microsoft Power Automate

Incoming emails are automatically sorted, categorised and routed based on their content — reducing the time staff spend manually triaging their inbox and ensuring the right person sees the right message without delay.

2. Accounts payable automation with Microsoft Power Automate

Supplier invoices and payment-related emails are automatically detected, logged and routed for approval. This removes a repetitive manual step from the accounts process and reduces the chance of invoices being missed or delayed.

3. Phone and voicemail automation with Microsoft Power Automate

Voicemails are automatically transcribed and delivered as text summaries, with urgent messages flagged and routed to the right staff member. No more manually checking a voicemail system or missing time-sensitive calls.

4. Automatic ticket creation from customer emails via Microsoft Exchange

When a customer sends a support request by email, a helpdesk ticket is automatically created without any manual data entry. This means faster response times and nothing falling through the cracks during busy periods.

5. Email log analysis and urgent alerting

Using Microsoft Exchange, Power Automate, Opsgenie and Microsoft Teams, our email logs are continuously monitored for unusual patterns or delivery failures. When something urgent is detected, the right person is alerted immediately — rather than discovering a problem hours later.

Custom Applications

6. New computer run-up and installation tracker

A lightweight internal application that tracks each step of setting up a new computer — from imaging and configuration through to handover. Every stage is logged so nothing is skipped and any team member can see the current status at a glance.

7. New user setup tracker

When a new staff member joins one of our client businesses, there are dozens of tasks to complete — creating accounts, setting up email, assigning software licences, configuring permissions and preparing equipment. This application tracks every step of that process for each client, ensuring nothing is missed and giving us a clear view of where each setup is up to at any point in time.

8. New customer onboarding tracker

A simple application that manages the workflow when a new client comes on board. Each task in the onboarding process is tracked from start to finish, giving us visibility across all new clients and ensuring a consistent experience every time.

9. Staff performance, leave and training tracker

An internal application for managing staff records including performance notes, holiday balances, bonuses and training history — all in one place, without relying on spreadsheets or scattered documents.

10. Custom Python invoicing application

A purpose-built application that handles invoicing tasks specific to how Warringah IT operates — automating calculations and formatting that would otherwise require manual work in a generic accounting tool.

11. AI-assisted support article writing with Atlassian Confluence

When our team resolves a support issue, Confluence’s built-in AI assists in drafting the corresponding knowledge base article — turning technical notes and resolution steps into clear, structured documentation that clients and staff can actually use. This means our knowledge base grows consistently without placing extra writing burden on the team, and the articles are written to a consistent standard every time.
