Set a computer password

To set a password for your computer, please perform the following steps:

1. Restart your computer
2. Click the start button and search for Settings
3. Select Settings
4. Select Accounts
5. Select Sign-in options
6. Under Password, select Change (if you get asked to enter your current password, leave it blank)
7. Enter your new password and confirm (please make sure you have recorded your password in a password manager like Last Pass)
8. Restart your computer
9. Log back into your computer
10. Test applications like Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams

Select Start  > Settings  > Accounts  > Sign-in options . Under Password , select Change and follow the directions.
